Perhaps unsurprisingly, global demand for private jets has seen a sharp rise as concerns around Coronavirus grow. While initially private flights were requested to evacuate from affected areas, demand has progressed to include those customers seeking to avoid busy airport terminals worldwide or seeking alternatives to cancelled commercial flights.

How to protect yourself from Coronavirus while traveling

1. Avoid touching things and other people:
   • The virus is more likely to be transmitted by contact than via airborne spread;
   • Avoid handshakes and kissing when greeting people;
   • Inform people you are travelling to meet of the precautions you are taking.
2. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water:
   Coronaviruses are encased in a lipid envelope – a thin layer of fat. Soap breaks the lipids apart and make the virus unable to infect you.
3. Check with your travel provider that your aircraft and ground transport have been appropriately sanitised after their previous occupants left.
4. Ask your travel provider what they are doing to protect their staff and customers.
   If they don’t have a plan to protect their staff, they might not be looking after you appropriately.

   • Send updates regularly. Your employees are your business. Without them you cannot succeed;

   • Prepare or review work-from-home policies.
